Privacy Policy

Effective 17 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information Dovre ("Dovre", "we", "us") collects when you use our website and platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the marketing site at dovre.ai and to the Dovre application.

Information you give us

When you contact us or request a demo, we collect the details you submit through our forms: your name, work email, company, team size, and a description of the text you want to model. When you contact us for support or general enquiries, we collect your name, email, and message.

When an account is created for you, we collect the identity information needed to sign you in — your name and email address — which is handled through Google Firebase Authentication.

Content you provide for processing

The platform exists to run a topic model over text you supply — support tickets, reviews, survey responses, documents, or database records that you upload or connect. We process that content solely to produce the topics, keywords, trends, and insights you ask for, and to operate and secure the service on your behalf. Your content is not used to train models for other customers.

Information collected automatically

The marketing site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It stores only a light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device.

Within the signed-in application we record aggregate, privacy-scrubbed usage events (such as page views) to understand how the product is used. These events strip out identifying path parameters and are never used for advertising or sold to anyone.

How we use information

We use the information above to respond to your enquiries; to provide, operate, and secure the platform; to run topic models on your content at your instruction; to improve the product; and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (for enquiries and any marketing you opt into); performance of a contract (to provide the service to you or your organisation); and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service), balanced against your rights.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with vetted service providers who process it on our behalf to run the service:

  • Google Cloud Platform and Firebase — hosting, authentication, and storage.
  • Resend — delivery of enquiry-related and transactional email.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery and edge security.
  • Our large-language-model provider — generating topic names and summaries from your content.

International transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect that data in transit and at rest.

Data retention

We keep enquiry and contact information for as long as needed to respond and to maintain reasonable business records. Account information and content submitted for processing are retained for the life of your engagement with us and are deleted, or returned, on request or when the engagement ends — subject to any retention the law requires.

Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, and tenant isolation so that one organisation's data is not visible to another. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information in line with industry practice.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, you may request to know or delete your personal information and to opt out of its sale — which we do not do. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Dovre is a business product and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown above and, where appropriate, notify you.
